This week, I was really excited to discover that the Pheonix lander craft has found snow on Mars! Amazing, eh? Pheonix has been on Mars since May 25th 2008 and it has been gathering all sorts of information about the red planet. It hasn’t found life yet but it has found snow falling from Martian clouds. But, before you book your skiing holiday, I should tell you that the snow evaporates before it hits the ground. Shame! Pheonix is now in its fifth month but will soon run out of power. It relies on energy from the Sun. By the end of October, the Sun will be dipping below the Martian horizon for too long each day to allow the robotic arm to work. But before it conks out completely, scientists plan to switch on its microphone. I wonder what they’ll hear! See some great pics, here.

2. Magic Pen
This game needs skill and speed. You have to draw objects to move the red ball along. The instructions are really clear and easy to follow. It is quite hard, though, but keep trying, you'll get better with practice!

If you think space has an awful lot of, well, space in it, think again! Piloting your spaceship without hitting anything is harder than you think! The only irritating thing about Space Escape is that Mr Bobbins is better at it than I am. (Which is a bit annoying since he's a glove-puppet).

I really like this game, it brings out the sportsman in me. (Stop sniggering, Wanda!) I'll have you know I'm already in training for the 2012 Webblimpics being held at WebbliStadium. And I'm hotly-tipped for a medal in the 500m gingernut-hurling-relay, a specialist event requiring pinpoint accuracy and precision-baking. Tarmac was invented by John McAdam in the early 19th century and was originally known as tar-macadam. Knowing this will not help you play this game any better. But it will make you very brainy!

There's nothing I like better than strapping myself to a bit of canvas and jumping off the edge of a cliff! A virtual cliff, that is! There are two levels, novice and expert, so you can build your skills. Brill fun and quite scary, too!

I love words! My favourites are 'hemisphere' and 'slurp'. (Hemisphere means 'half a sphere'. The Earth is a sphere or globe and is divided into two halves - the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere.) In this brill word game you test your spelling skills to the max. Youc an even try it in 6 different languages! How brainy is that?!
